AC Milan Stunned by Chelsea's Sky-High Price Tag for Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea have informed AC Milan that they would need to submit an offer of £100 million ($135.1 million) to secure the services of forward Nicolas Jackson, according to recent reports.
Jackson's position at Stamford Bridge has become questionable following Chelsea's acquisition of both Liam Delap and João Pedro for a total of £90 million ($121.6 million), with the club reportedly willing to let the Senegalese striker leave for an appropriate fee.
Recognizing a possible chance, AC Milan has shown interest in Jackson, with one report suggesting that the Italian giants are "fantasizing" about bringing the Chelsea attacker to San Siro. However, the financial aspects of such a transfer could present challenges.
Subsequently, it has been revealed that Chelsea are ready to ask for up to £100 million for Jackson, with the Daily Mail stating that the Blues are not eager to offload the 24-year-old quickly.
Fabrizio Romano notes that Chelsea's high asking price for Jackson stems from discussions with other teams while pursuing a new striker, particularly Hugo Ekitiké from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Frankfurt is reportedly seeking €100 million (£86.5 million, $116.9 million) for Ekitiké—a player coveted by Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United—and the Blues feel they can warrant a comparable valuation for Jackson.
Milan is unlikely to approach such a substantial fee, but Chelsea remain optimistic about receiving bids from Premier League clubs, with several teams reportedly considering a move.
Jackson has served as Chelsea's primary striker since his arrival from Villarreal in 2023 for £32 million ($43.2 million), delivering a respectable tally of 30 goals and 12 assists across 81 matches in all competitions.
While he featured in Chelsea's Club World Cup opener, he has since fallen behind both Delap and Pedro in the pecking order—his situation worsened by an unnecessary red card against Flamengo.
