Alejandro Garnacho Eyes Dream Move as Top Club Makes Him Transfer Priority

Alejandro Garnacho might receive an opportunity to remain within the Premier League should he depart Manchester United during the upcoming transfer window, as Aston Villa has emerged as a potential destination according to recent reports.
The Argentine winger encountered difficulties with manager Ruben Amorim after expressing dissatisfaction following May's Europa League final defeat, with subsequent reports suggesting Garnacho was informed he should seek alternative employment in front of his teammates.
Villa had previously conducted transfer business with United during January when they secured Marcus Rashford's services on a temporary basis—though they ultimately declined to activate a £40 million ($53.6 million) clause to make the arrangement permanent.
The Daily Mail reports that, having failed to secure Rashford's replacement in the transfer market, Villa are now considering Garnacho as a target. Their pursuit appears preliminary at this stage, currently limited to "observing the situation" regarding the Argentina international's circumstances.
While Napoli have maintained strong links with the player, Garnacho reportedly rejected advances from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr, preferring to continue his career in England, which remains his preferred destination.

Chelsea expressed interest in Garnacho during January but subsequently invested £150 million ($200.1 million) in acquiring Jamie Gittens, João Pedro, Estêvão Willian and Kendry Páez. Despite these significant additions to their attacking roster, Chelsea's pursuit is reportedly still "active".
Current reports indicate that Garnacho is restricted to training at Manchester United's Carrington facility only after 5 p.m., following the departure of Amorim and the main squad. Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia face similar restrictions, with all players instructed to find new clubs.
Villa represents one of the Premier League's remarkable transformation stories in recent years, revitalized under Unai Emery's guidance and participating in the Champions League during 2024–25 for the first time since their last appearance in the predecessor European Cup during the early 1980s.
Following their sixth-place Premier League finish, Villa will participate in the Europa League for 2025–26 and could realistically target their first significant silverware in three decades.
