Amad Diallo Joins Three Teammates on Man Utd's Injury List for Brentford Clash

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has announced that Amad Diallo will be absent from Saturday's match against Brentford due to a bereavement in his family.

Amad has been utilized in both attacking midfield and wing-back positions this season, featuring in the starting eleven for five of United's six fixtures across all competitions and becoming a crucial component of Amorim's 3-4-2-1 formation.

The 23-year-old will be absent for his first game of the season on Saturday after being given compassionate leave by United.

"Amad is not available because a family member has died," Amorim explained. "We are providing full support to Amad and recognized that he needed to go back home."

Noussair Mazraoui is also out for United, which could create problems on the right flank of the defense, though the Red Devils have recently seen Diogo Dalot return from injury and might need to insert him directly into the starting formation.

Lisandro Martínez remains a long-term injury concern and will be accompanied on the treatment table on Saturday by Casemiro, who faces suspension after his dismissal against Chelsea.

Amad Receives Support Following Social Media Withdrawal

The heartbreaking loss in his family comes during an already challenging period for Amad, who cleared his social media accounts following a barrage of online harassment.

Amad exchanged jerseys with former colleague Alejandro Garnacho after the recent Chelsea encounter and enthusiastically posted the moment online, but supporters inundated his comments with negative feedback. The young player deleted all posts from his Instagram account and retained only one on X, previously known as Twitter.

"I tell my players the same thing. Turn off social media," Amorim commented. "That's the reality today. It comes with the territory.

"However, what matters most is that the club and his teammates represent real life for Amad. We support him. This is a difficult time and during moments like this, the upcoming match isn't the priority. We can succeed without Amad and we want to win for him as well."
