Amorim Issues Stark Warning to Former Star Gyokeres Before Epic Premier League Showdown

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has cautioned Arsenal forward Viktor Gyökeres that he will need to fight to sustain his impressive performances after his transition to the Premier League.
Gyökeres delivered exceptional results while playing under Amorim at Sporting CP, scoring 66 times in 68 appearances before the manager's mid-season switch to United. This outstanding record led Arsenal to invest €73.5 million (£63.4 million, $86 million) to secure Gyökeres's services at the Emirates Stadium during the summer transfer window.
In a perfect twist of fate, Gyökeres will make his competitive Arsenal bow against Amorim's United this Sunday. Speaking before the match, the Red Devils manager expressed admiration for the Swedish striker while highlighting the demanding nature of English football.
"Viktor operates at an exceptional level," Amorim stated. "Sporting possess excellent recruitment capabilities as they depend on player transactions for their financial stability.
"He's an outstanding talent. His move to a major English club comes as no shock."

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed complete confidence in Gyökeres's ability to adapt to Premier League football, believing the Gunners provide the ideal environment to unlock his full potential.
"Arsenal offers the ideal platform for him to demonstrate his capabilities alongside the exceptional squad members who will help him reach his maximum potential," Arteta commented.
Sunday's encounter may feature Gyökeres facing Benjamin Šeško. The Slovenian attacker was previously pursued by Arsenal during the summer before the club shifted their focus to Gyökeres, enabling United to complete their own transfer.
Šeško's representative recently discussed the negotiations with Arsenal, claiming the striker had always preferred a move to United, while Arteta maintained that the Gunners deliberately changed direction from Šeško to concentrate on securing Gyökeres.
"We followed our standard procedure," Arteta clarified.
"Evaluating every possible candidate involves more than just our assessment of the player's abilities - multiple factors must align perfectly, and we're delighted that Viktor is our choice."
