Andy Robertson Breaks Silence on Liverpool Exit Rumors: "We'll See What Happens"
Andy Robertson has expressed his wish to remain at Liverpool while acknowledging doubts about his future due to his desire for increased playing opportunities.
The 31-year-old defender has found himself in a substitute position at Anfield this campaign after the summer signing of Milos Kerkez, featuring in only 11 games across all tournaments and merely four Premier League fixtures.
Robertson has proven dependable when called upon, occasionally surpassing Kerkez's performances, yet his long-term prospects remain uncertain. The Scottish player's deal concludes this summer and he has not yet signed an extension with the Merseyside club.
The full-back, who has accumulated 362 appearances for Liverpool since his £8 million ($10.8 million) transfer in 2017, no longer possesses the dynamic, offensive capabilities he displayed during his prime years under Jürgen Klopp, but remains committed to securing regular minutes—either at Liverpool or elsewhere.

Robertson has discussed his Liverpool prospects following contract negotiations with the organization, acknowledging that no definitive choices have been reached concerning his intentions.
"We've held conversations that will stay confidential; we'll observe what develops," stated Robertson, who mentioned his preference to remain at Liverpool despite calling it a "challenging question" to address.
"I have five months remaining and we must consider the possibility to stay or explore opportunities elsewhere and similar matters. I'll discuss with my family and make a decision.
"Following a demanding summer, I'm simply attempting to appreciate being involved and being a Liverpool player. I aimed to secure World Cup qualification and fortunately we've achieved that. I must determine what myself and my family desire moving forward."
He continued: "I can reflect on the previous eight-and-a-half years. I believe Jürgen Klopp benched me for one match and I was furious. So I'm a player who desires to compete.
"I've competed through injuries. I've played when I'm not completely healthy. I've participated when I've only been 50, 40, 30% fit for this club and my nation. I consistently want to be on the field and competing and clearly now that's not occurring, so that's what has changed.
"I have a different function here this season which I'm finding satisfaction in, but ultimately, footballers want to play and if anyone sits content on the bench, then they don't deserve to be at any football club."
