Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has earned his first-ever Premier League Player of the Month award following an exceptional April campaign.
Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is inching closer to matching Arsène Wenger's record on the all-time Manager of the Month winners' list.
For Gibbs-White, the honour reflects his contribution in steering Forest away from the relegation zone, securing their place in the top flight for a fourth consecutive season. That provides some comfort after being eliminated at the semi-final stage of the Europa League this week.
Forest accumulated seven points from a possible nine, drawing with Aston Villa and defeating Burnley and Sunderland. Gibbs-White netted a hat-trick against Burnley, then added a goal and an assist in the victory over the latter.
The England international received his award in front of his delighted teammates on Friday morning. He becomes only the second Forest player to win the honour, following Chris Wood's triumph in October 2024.

Pep Guardiola becomes the first manager this season to claim two monthly awards, having previously taken home the February prize. Throughout April, his Manchester City side won all three of their Premier League fixtures, including a crucial win over title contenders Arsenal and a commanding thrashing of Chelsea.
For the Spanish tactician, this represents a 13th Manager of the Month accolade since arriving in England a decade ago. Already sitting third on the all-time list behind Sir Alex Ferguson and the aforementioned Wenger, he now needs just two more to draw level with the iconic Frenchman's tally of 15. Ferguson remains comfortably ahead on 27 monthly awards, a benchmark that is unlikely to ever be surpassed.
City briefly climbed to the top of the Premier League table in late April after reeling in Arsenal. However, points dropped since the beginning of May have given the Gunners a renewed advantage in the title race.
