Arne Slot Delivers Alarming News on Alisson and Ekitike Injury Concerns
Arne Slot has confirmed that Alisson will miss Liverpool's upcoming match at Stamford Bridge this weekend following the goalkeeper's injury during the Reds' 1-0 loss to Galatasaray.
The Brazilian keeper was substituted just 11 minutes into the second period after appearing to suffer a muscular problem. Alisson showed visible discomfort after making a save from Victor Osimhen's attempt and was unable to carry on.
Giorgi Mamardashvili came on to replace the 32-year-old, who previously missed significant portions of last campaign due to hamstring problems, a thigh issue, and concussion. Alisson now faces another period away from action, as indicated by Slot.

"It's never good when you have to leave the field like that," the Liverpool manager told Prime Video following the Champions League loss.
"You can be certain [Alisson] won't feature on Saturday," Slot stated.
The Reds will now be missing arguably the world's finest goalkeeper when they head to west London to face Chelsea this weekend. Alisson joins Giovanni Leoni on the injury list, though Slot didn't disclose the exact nature of the Brazil international's problem.
Liverpool Also Concerned About Hugo Ekitiké's Condition

Just 12 minutes following Alisson's departure, Hugo Ekitiké was also compelled to leave the match. The summer acquisition seemed to indicate a hamstring concern to the club's medical staff before being substituted by Alexis Mac Allister.
"[Ekitiké] experienced something when stretching for the ball," Slot explained after the game. "He indicated he couldn't go on. We'll assess his condition for the weekend."
The Dutch manager will be hoping the problem isn't severe for Ekitiké, who has already recorded six goal contributions in all competitions during his initial nine matches in Liverpool colors.
Missing both Alisson and Ekitiké would represent a significant setback for a Liverpool team struggling to recapture last season's momentum. The defending English champions fell 2-1 to Crystal Palace at the weekend before suffering this frustrating loss to Galatasaray just four days afterward.
The Reds will face pressure to bounce back against a Chelsea team that secured a 1-0 win over Benfica in their second Champions League group stage fixture.
