Arsenal Clashes with Athletic Club: Your Complete Guide to Catching All the Emirates Cup Action Live

Arsenal are looking to conclude the summer with a minor trophy in their collection, as they face Athletic Club in the Emirates Cup.

The Gunners have controlled this preseason tournament since it started in 2007, claiming victory in eight of the 13 editions. They've also secured wins for three consecutive years.

Nevertheless, Mikel Arteta's team comes into Saturday's match following their second preseason loss, as ex-Gunner Nicolas Pépé found the net in Villarreal's 3–2 triumph. Arteta has rotated his squad extensively throughout Arsenal's summer fixtures, and a sixth new acquisition made his first appearance in Wednesday's loss.

There's no fresh face to unveil on Saturday, and Arteta will be seeking a better display with the Premier League campaign starting in just one week.

Here's how fans can watch the 2025 Emirates Cup.

Similar to all of Arsenal's preseason matches thus far, fans can buy a Pre-Season Pass through Arsenal.com for Athletic Club's Emirates Cup appearance.

This pass costs £4.99 if purchased before 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, with the fee increasing to £6.99 after that time. Replay broadcasts are also available every three hours following the final whistle with this pass, should you miss the live action.

The pass is available for purchase worldwide, except in Spain.

Some viewers will already have streaming rights to the Emirates Cup if they purchased the Pre-Season Pass Bundle for £8.99, which also granted access to Wednesday's loss against Villarreal.

What Next for Arsenal and Athletic Club?

Arsenal's Premier League season starts next Sunday at Old Trafford, where they'll meet a Manchester United side strengthened by three expensive attacking signings.

The Gunners face a challenging opening to the new campaign, with matches against Liverpool and Manchester City lined up within the opening five weeks. They travel to Anfield on Aug. 31, and welcome Man City on Sept. 21.

Athletic Club, on the other hand, begin the La Liga season at home against Sevilla on Aug. 17, and have a fairly manageable fixture list to start 2025–26. They won't encounter any of last season's top three teams until late November. Ernesto Valverde's squad will also need to manage Champions League commitments.
