Arsenal Complete Noni Madueke Transfer Deal and Reveal His New Shirt Number

Arsenal confirmed the acquisition of Noni Madueke on Friday, marking another key addition during this summer's transfer period for Mikel Arteta's squad.
The English player moves to Arsenal from Premier League rivals Chelsea, having featured in 92 matches across all tournaments for the West London club. Reports indicate Madueke has committed to a five-year deal with Arsenal following an agreement between both clubs for an upfront payment of £48.5 million ($65.5 million). The complete transfer package is anticipated to reach £52 million ($70.6 million).
Madueke shared a goodbye message to Chelsea and its fanbase before the official announcement, during which Mikel Arteta expressed his enthusiasm for Arsenal's new No. 20. "Noni represents an exciting and dynamic young talent, consistently delivering high-quality performances and statistics in recent campaigns. He stands among the Premier League's most gifted attacking wide players," Arteta stated on the club's official platform.
"Despite being only 23, Noni possesses valuable experience in both domestic and international football, with comprehensive Premier League knowledge. After witnessing Noni's exceptional displays firsthand over recent seasons, we're genuinely delighted he's becoming part of our team.
"Noni will integrate with our squad alongside familiar England colleagues and other acquaintances. He'll receive an immediate warm reception. His addition will significantly strengthen our roster—everyone is excited about his arrival. On behalf of all of us, welcome Noni and welcome to your new family."
Madueke claimed the UEFA Conference League title with Chelsea last season and participated in this summer's FIFA Club World Cup. Madueke received authorization to depart the Chelsea training camp early before the Blues proceeded to triumph over Paris Saint-Germain in the championship match.
Throughout his 92 matches for the Blues, he netted 20 goals and recorded nine assists across all competitions. He appeared in 72 games on the right flank while making only nine starts as a left-sided winger.
