Arsenal Set to Unleash Havertz Against Hull as Konsa Injury Shakes Up Starting XI

Defending Premier League champions Arsenal face their last fixture before the international break this Saturday, hosting newly promoted Hull City at Emirates Stadium.

A rematch of the 2013–14 FA Cup final, which the Gunners edged after extra time, gives Mikel Arteta and his squad the opportunity to cement top spot before the club soccer pause. A draw would be enough to keep second-place Manchester City from closing the gap, though a win will be anticipated against their mid-table opponents.

Following Tuesday's hard-earned Champions League win over Slavia Prague, Arteta is widely expected to rotate his starting eleven, particularly in the attacking positions. Changes could also come at center back, fullback, and in midfield.

Here's how Arsenal could line up on Saturday afternoon in north London.

Arsenal Predicted Lineup vs. Hull

Arsenal's predicted starting lineup against Hull.

GK: David Raya—The Spanish shot-stopper became the first goalkeeper to visit Anfield in the Premier League without conceding a single shot on target—at least since records began in 2003. He was kept considerably busier against Slavia Prague, however, producing one characteristically brilliant fingertip save late in the game.

RB: Jurriën Timber—Ben White played 78 minutes in Czechia, paving the way for Timber to reclaim the right back spot. The Dutchman was lucky to escape a penalty call against Liverpool last week and will need to be more disciplined against Hull.

CB: Cristhian Mosquera—With Ezri Konsa picking up an injury during the week and William Saliba unlikely to be rushed straight back into the XI, Arteta may turn to Mosquera this weekend.

CB: Gabriel—The Brazilian will be relishing the chance to record a seventh clean sheet in his side's 10th Premier League game of the campaign.

LB: Riccardo Calafiori—The attack-minded Italian should be given the license to push into advanced areas where he causes the most problems. He will face a defensive test, however, up against the lively Mohamed Belloumi.

CM: Bruno Guimarães—Martín Zubimendi impressed on an increasingly rare start in midweek, but Guimarães appears to have cemented his place as Declan Rice's preferred partner in the center of the park.

Pick Your Arsenal XI!

CM: Declan Rice—The England international looked exhausted in the closing stages of Wednesday's match, but with the international break so close, there is little room for rest. He is, in many ways, a victim of his own excellence.

RW: Noni Madueke—With Bukayo Saka sidelined through injury and Max Dowman serving a suspension, Arteta has little option but to deploy Madueke, who scored Arsenal's opener in Prague, on the right wing.

AM: Martin Ødegaard—Arsenal's primary playmaker knows his job this weekend will be to unpick Hull's deep defensive structure. The Gunners' skipper tops his side's charts for expected assists in the Premier League and has also created the joint-most chances of any player.

LW: Christos Tzolis—The energetic summer signing is still searching for his first Arsenal goal and would no doubt relish the opportunity to score past his international compatriot and Hull goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis to get off the mark.

ST: Kai Havertz—Viktor Gyökeres delivered an impressive showing against Slavia, contributing a goal and an assist in Czechia. However, Havertz remains Arteta's preferred striker and cannot be left out after netting the decisive goal at Anfield last weekend.
