Arsenal Star Dismisses Transfer Rumors with Defiant Laughter: "Never Been an Option"
Arsenal's wing player Leandro Trossard has stated that the rumors about his potential departure from the club during the summer transfer window were greatly exaggerated.
The North London club focused on strengthening their attacking options this summer, securing striker Viktor Gyökeres along with winger Noni Madueke and attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze to complement an existing squad that featured Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, Gabriel Martinelli and the injured pair of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
With such a wealth of attacking talent at Mikel Arteta's disposal, numerous reports suggested Trossard might be moved on. The Belgian experienced player penned a fresh deal in August, though this failed to silence the chatter about his potential exit.
In the end, nothing materialized from these rumors. Following his recovery from a pre-season setback, Trossard has featured in eight matches across all tournaments, including being named in the starting eleven for Arsenal's previous three Premier League fixtures, demonstrating his value to Arteta.
"Those kinds of stories always circulate," Trossard chuckled. "Departing was never truly a consideration. I'm very content at Arsenal.

"Early in the campaign, I dealt with some injury troubles. I believe those stories emerged due to my limited playing time."
Trossard added: "I've experienced some positive weeks, both personally and with Arsenal. I'm finally back to being a healthy player, someone performing at peak level. I'm delighted about that.
"I've featured regularly in recent matches, I've contributed well, and I'm pleased with my situation."
Focus will turn to how Arteta handles his squad depth, especially as his sidelined players start returning to action. Madueke and Havertz are both expected back in November, while Jesus's comeback is scheduled for early 2026. The Brazilian forward, who is rehabilitating from a serious knee problem, is believed to be a prime candidate for transfer once he recovers.
