Arsenal Star Drops Bombshell Comparison Between 'Monster' Viktor Gyokeres and Captain Martin Odegaard

Arsenal defender Ben White has disclosed that Viktor Gyökeres displays an incredible training mentality that matches club skipper Martin Ødegaard's dedication.

White developed at Brighton & Hove Albion alongside Gyökeres during their youth careers. Both promising prospects were loaned out to gain experience, and while White's successful stint at Leeds United secured his pathway to Brighton's senior squad, Gyökeres endured several disappointing loan periods.

The powerful forward ultimately found his rhythm at Sporting CP, compiling an extraordinary scoring record over two seasons in Portugal that prompted Arsenal to invest £55 million ($74.2 million) in the 27-year-old striker.

Gyökeres's transition to north London hasn't been entirely smooth—Swedish press criticized his fitness levels following two lackluster performances this month—however, he has clearly impressed his new teammates.

"I honestly can't find fault with him," White praised in Arsenal's official media channels. "He ranks among the most dedicated trainers I've witnessed, comparable to Martin Ødegaard in terms of professionalism. Having players like this join us is fantastic, as the competition elevates everyone's performance levels and drives collective improvement."

Despite questions surrounding Gyökeres's fitness, White maintains that the imposing striker has excellent body management.

"He's absolutely massive!" the Arsenal fullback chuckled. "Goals are his obsession, aren't they? He poses a continuous danger. You definitely don't want to challenge him physically during matches, because he'll simply bulldoze past you!

"His physical presence is enormous and I believe his previous English football experience will prove invaluable. Many players struggle when they first encounter the Premier League without prior exposure to its demands.

"However, Viktor is thoroughly familiar with it. He featured for Coventry, and I shared numerous matches with him at Brighton. He understands the league's nature and knows exactly what to anticipate from English defenders."
