Arteta Delivers Promising Arsenal Injury News as Premier League Kickoff Looms

Mikel Arteta has indicated that Leandro Trossard is close to recovering from his groin injury, which would leave Arsenal with just a single injured player as they prepare for the 2025–26 Premier League season.
Trossard's summer has been hampered by injury issues and rumors about potential transfers. The Belgian attacker was forced off the pitch during Arsenal's pre-season match against Tottenham Hotspur in July, managing only 17 minutes before sustaining the injury. He has remained absent throughout the remainder of the club's summer training period.
This absence has reportedly allowed the 30-year-old to consider alternative opportunities, with clubs like Bayern Munich and Fenerbahçe showing preliminary interest in the left-sided player. However, no transfer has been completed, and Trossard is anticipated to be ready for Sunday's Premier League season opener against Manchester United away from home.
"I believe he'll be ready in the coming days, yes, it's just a minor groin issue," Arteta commented. "He should be perfectly fine."

Gabriel Magalhães and Jurrien Timber have also rejoined full training recently, and they've been accompanied by Riccardo Calafiori. The sole Arsenal player definitively ruled out for this weekend's match at Old Trafford is Gabriel Jesus, who suffered an ACL injury against Manchester United in the FA Cup seven months prior.
Jesus's latest recovery update featured him training on the field with the mysterious message: "Only God and I Know..."
Arteta is delighted with his squad depth. "We now have different qualities in every position, numerous players capable of operating in multiple roles with great versatility, contributing various skills and attacking options to the team," the Arsenal manager expressed enthusiastically.
"We'll handle this in the most effective way possible to keep everyone properly integrated, motivated, and ensure we can alter our tactical approach at any time to create significant challenges for our opponents."
