Eager to turn the page after its worst World Cup showing in 36 years, Brazil kicks off a new tournament cycle with three friendlies during the opening international break of the 2026–27 season.

The five-time world champions are making a trip to Australia and will face lowly ranked India for the very first time, with the first of two clashes against Australia scheduled at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Friday.

The composed Carlo Ancelotti was expected to paper over the cracks in Brazil's World Cup squad and steer the Seleção toward a sixth title. However, Ancelotti's men struggled to impress for large stretches of their time in North America and were ultimately sent packing after a 2–1 defeat to Norway in the round of 16.
