Barcelona Down to Final Registration Hurdle as Latest Player Gets Green Light

Barcelona are gradually moving closer to completing their full squad, though Roony Bardghji's situation remains uncertain.
Wojciech Szczeşny was the most recent Barcelona player to be formally registered for the club's La Liga roster late Saturday night, just before the Catalans departed for Madrid to face Rayo Vallecano.
The experienced Polish goalkeeper had observed the team's first two matches of the season from the bench while stuck in an awkward transfer situation. Despite signing a fresh deal during the summer, Szczeşny had to remain patient until Iñaki Peña's wages were cleared through his move to Elche this week, allowing him to join without violating La Liga's rigid salary restrictions.
Gerard Martín was also registered this week, making Roony the sole remaining player awaiting official registration.

The summer acquisition from Copenhagen was originally signed as a player for Barça Atlètic, the club's second team. There was no announcement of Roony's official signing on the first-team website in July, supporters had to discover evidence of this budget-friendly transfer in the B team section instead.
However, following his impressive performances during the club's preseason Asian tour, Hansi Flick was anticipated to utilize the youngster for the main squad this season. This possibility cannot materialize until Barcelona discovers a method to incorporate his wages without exceeding their predetermined financial boundaries.
The assumption is that a resolution for Roony will emerge if Oriol Romeu consents to cancel his contract and a purchaser for Héctor Fort can be located. The young Swedish player appears optimistic about his Barcelona prospects, recently sharing a training photo with the brief message: "Soon."
Barcelona's window of opportunity is quickly closing. The club has until Monday's transfer deadline to provide the league with adequate proof that they can accommodate Roony's salary or risk losing a summer acquisition before he can make his official first appearance.
