Barcelona Drops Stunning Retro-Inspired Third Kit That Pays Homage to Club's Golden Era

Barcelona have revealed their third jersey for the 2025–26 campaign, drawing inspiration from the most triumphant squad in the club's storied past.
The vibrant orange design—termed "bright mango" by the organization—pays homage to the jersey initially donned by Pep Guardiola's Barcelona squad that took the field for the 2009 Club World Cup championship match.
The Catalan giants had already secured the Copa del Rey, La Liga, Champions League, Supercopa de España and UEFA Super Cup prior to their journey to Abu Dhabi, where they sought to become the inaugural team to capture six prestigious trophies within a single calendar year.
"Should we fall short today, we remain the finest team on the planet. Should we prevail, we achieve immortality," Guardiola declared to his squad before the match against Estudiantes commenced.
Barcelona appeared quite vulnerable after conceding in the opening half and stood just sixty seconds from elimination before Pedro equalized in the 89th minute to force additional time. Lionel Messi delivered the match-winning strike, thrusting his chest forward to score with what Barcelona supporters fondly call his heart.
Hansi Flick's current Barcelona squad captured three trophies during the previous campaign, surpassing Real Madrid to claim the domestic treble. The objective this season remains unchanged: to match Guardiola's legendary achievement. Flick stands as the sole other coach to secure a sextuple in men's football with his Bayern Munich team in 2020.
Marcus Rashford was absent from the squad that conquered Spain last season but harbors ambitious goals for the upcoming campaign. The Manchester United loanee was questioned by SPORT regarding Barcelona's European prospects this season. His response was decisive. "Not merely the Champions League, but every competition," the 27-year-old declared. "They enjoyed an excellent season previously. Now it's about moving past that, attempting to replicate it, and enhancing performance."
