Barcelona are on the verge of securing consecutive La Liga titles under Hansi Flick, yet the Blaugrana have no intention of sitting idle this summer and could find Tottenham Hotspur to be a valuable recruitment source.
The club's transfer objectives are well-defined, and there may be room for Barça, despite their widely-known financial difficulties, to make significant moves in a couple of key areas of need.
However, Barça can't afford to overlook potential bargains, and Tottenham's anticipated squad overhaul in the wake of a shocking relegation could be exploited by the Catalan club.
Spurs, last season's Europa League champions, currently occupy a Premier League relegation spot with just four matches left to play. Despite securing their first league victory of the calendar year, they remain two points below the safety line and in a precarious situation.
Barcelona Potentially Set for North London Bargain Hunt

Tottenham find themselves in a position that virtually no one foresaw before the season began, staring down the barrel of their first relegation in nearly half a century. Injuries and mismanagement from those at the helm have been major contributing factors to their collapse, despite this squad undeniably possessing quality.
Spanish outlet SPORT, building on reports of Barcelona sporting director Deco's visit to London last month, has speculated that the Blaugrana could be in pursuit of several of Spurs' disgruntled stars should relegation be confirmed.
Centre backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are widely expected to depart regardless of how the final weeks of the season unfold, and both have previously been linked with moves to Catalonia. Barça had also shown interest in young midfielder Lucas Bergvall, who ultimately chose to join the Lilywhites in 2024, while Xavi Simons became a fan favourite during his formative years at La Masia.
The La Liga title holders reportedly held discussions with Xavi's camp last summer but failed to reach an agreement. Interested clubs are now likely to be put off, however, after the Dutch playmaker suffered an ACL injury that is expected to sideline him until 2027.
SPORT also speculated that right back Pedro Porro could be a summer target, and indicated that both Romero and Van de Ven are on Barcelona's shortlist. The club has reportedly also held talks with Tottenham defender Luka Vušković.
The Positions Barcelona Must Target This Summer

Interest in Tottenham's two first-choice centre backs is logical, given that Barça are desperately in need of a left-sided defender following Iñigo Martínez's departure without a replacement being brought in last summer.
Van de Ven's value has declined heading into 2026, but Romero is equally capable of operating as a left centre back, having done so on numerous occasions for his national side. The Argentine has previously expressed a desire to play in La Liga someday, and his father recently confirmed the existence of a release clause in the contract he signed last summer.
Barcelona are well-equipped in midfield but are set to aggressively pursue a new striker. Dominic Solanke, Richarlison, and Randal Kolo Muani are not on their radar, with Atlético Madrid's Julián Alvarez being the primary target.
The club has also yet to reach a verdict on Marcus Rashford, who has delivered only intermittent performances on loan from Manchester United and is available for a permanent transfer for approximately $35 million (€30 million).
