Barcelona Shatter La Liga Records With Ruthless Demolition of Real Betis

Barcelona etched their name in La Liga history as the first club in the 20-team era to go unbeaten at home throughout an entire season, sealing the record with a 3–1 victory over Real Betis on Sunday.

Goals from Raphinha's brace and a late effort from loan signing João Cancelo secured the champions' 19th consecutive home win at Camp Nou in the stadium's final home match of the season, completing a flawless home campaign before their last league outing away at Valencia next weekend.

Although 10 other clubs have previously finished a La Liga season undefeated at home, Hansi Flick's Barcelona side are the first to achieve the feat in the modern 38-game format.

Remarkably, Barcelona achieved this milestone while using three separate home grounds throughout the season. Camp Nou hosted the final 14 of those 19 victories, while Flick's squad split their opening five home matches across two other venues.

With renovation work at Camp Nou still ongoing at the start of the campaign, Barcelona kicked off with two home wins at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, a compact 6,000-capacity ground at their training complex, before claiming three more victories at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, which served as their temporary base until Camp Nou was ready to reopen.
