Barcelona Unleash Goal-Scoring Blitz in 7-3 Preseason Thriller Against FC Seoul: Player Ratings

Barcelona overwhelmed FC Seoul with a commanding 7–3 victory over the South Korean side in their second preseason fixture, highlighting both their attacking prowess and defensive vulnerabilities.
Hansi Flick's team found the net within the opening 10 minutes. Dani Olmo intercepted possession in the attacking third and advanced toward a disorganized defensive line. Olmo set up Lamine Yamal, whose attempt struck the woodwork, but the deflection landed perfectly for Robert Lewandowski to convert Barcelona's first goal with a simple finish.
The Catalan side's early pressure persisted in the 15th minute. Yamal drifted inward from the right flank and attempted to thread a pass for Olmo's run. Though the initial ball was intercepted, it bounced back to him, allowing the youngster to unleash a fierce long-range effort that beat Kang Hyeon-mu at his near post. The teenager marked his debut goal wearing Barça's iconic No.10 jersey.
The home team responded after Yamal lost possession near Barcelona's penalty area. Kim Jin-su delivered a dangerous low ball across the face of goal that Cho Young-wook finished decisively from close quarters to reduce the deficit. Cho seemed to be in an offside position, but without VAR technology in this exhibition match, the strike was allowed to stand.
Barcelona failed to extend their advantage and FC Seoul equalized just before the interval. Anderson Oliveira released Yazan Abu Al-Arab with a through ball, and the defender made no mistake in leveling the score, exploiting Barça's aggressive offside trap. Moments later, the visitors struck back as Yamal completed his double to restore their lead with the last action of the first half.
Flick made wholesale changes to his starting eleven for the second period. The Spanish giants controlled proceedings early, with Andreas Christensen adding a fourth goal when he unleashed a thunderous strike from long distance that nestled in the net 10 minutes after the restart.
Ferran Torres joined the scoring spree next. La Masia academy product Jofre Torrents delivered an excellent cross that Torres met perfectly, calmly evading his marker before slotting Barcelona's fifth past the near post. Just two minutes afterward, Gavi extended the lead with an elegant turn and composed finish using his weaker foot.
FC Seoul managed a third goal five minutes before full time, capitalizing on the gaps left by Barcelona's advanced defensive positioning. Nevertheless, Marcus Rashford recorded his inaugural assist in Blaugrana colors, providing Torres with his second goal to seal the 7–3 scoreline.
While the attacking exhibition was impressive, Barcelona must address significant defensive concerns. Flick's backline proved problematic throughout the previous campaign, and these persistent issues require resolution before the season begins. However, Europe's most potent offense from last term already appears to be in peak condition.
