Barcelona's Rashford Pursuit Heats Up as New Rivals Enter the Race for Man Utd Star

Juventus have emerged as the newest club showing interest in acquiring Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, according to recent reports.

The Italian giants have already been in discussions with United regarding another peripheral winger, Jadon Sancho, submitting an offer towards the end of last week. Negotiations concerning the former Chelsea loan player are moving forward positively.

During these discussions, however, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Juventus have also inquired about Rashford, investigating the possible financial requirements for securing the 27-year-old's services.

This inquiry is unlikely to affect Juve's pursuit of Sancho. Furthermore, another report from the same source indicates that Wednesday evening saw encouraging discussions on multiple fronts for the Serie A club, including conversations with both Sancho and United.

Meanwhile, Rashford remains hopeful about a potential transfer to Barcelona, who maintain interest in a summer acquisition but have not yet submitted any official proposal.

Man Utd Legend Slams Marcus Rashford Over Barcelona Dream

Rashford's ambition to join Barcelona has drawn criticism from former United forward Teddy Sheringham, who argued the England international has not earned the right to move to Camp Nou.

"When you evaluate Marcus Rashford's current position as a professional footballer, you work hard as a youth to reach the pinnacle and represent clubs like Manchester United, and once you're there, you value it," Sheringham explained to Sky. "You don't discard it and declare your intention to depart.

"I find this entire situation quite disheartening, contrasting with my approach during my era and how I fought for the honor to represent such a prestigious football institution.

"Hearing someone speak as he does, expressing his desire to leave—I disapproved when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang acted similarly at Arsenal, I found it disheartening, and I hope Rashford doesn't secure the transfer he's seeking.

"From my viewpoint, moving from Manchester United to Barcelona represents an advancement that he hasn't earned."
