Bayern Directors Break Silence on Harry Kane Transfer Rumors: "We Can Easily Imagine It"
Bayern Munich's sporting director Christoph Freund disclosed that he can "readily envision" Harry Kane not just remaining in Bavaria, but also prolonging his tenure there.
Rumors about Kane's possible departure have been swirling in recent weeks. Claims of a release clause valued at €65 million (£56.7 million, $76.3 million) fueled transfer speculation, with suggestions of a return to Tottenham Hotspur or a move to Manchester United being discussed.
Bayern's sporting director, Max Eberl, appeared surprisingly relaxed when questioned about potentially losing Kane last month, commenting that the 32-year-old is "mature enough to decide for himself."
Eberl's counterpart Freund provided Bavarian supporters with greater confidence when he suggested the possibility of a contract extension for Kane.
"We're likely observing the finest version of Harry Kane that has ever existed," Freund praised to Sky Germany. "He's an ideal player for our club, and Harry feels extremely settled in Munich, both with the squad and his family. This is why we're optimistic he'll remain in Munich for several more years."
Kane penned an agreement until 2027 when he departed Spurs for Bayern in a record-breaking transfer worth €100 million. The England skipper will be 34 when his current deal expires, but considering his commitment to fitness and the remarkable goal-scoring records he's accumulated so far, it's understandable why Bayern would want to retain their striker.
"It's premature to examine it thoroughly," Freund cautioned when questioned about negotiations for a new agreement. "I believe both parties can readily envision continuing their partnership beyond the current contract's conclusion."
Will Harry Kane Be Fit for England's October Internationals?

There was much to appreciate from Kane's display against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. The clinical striker fired in another precise finish, becoming the first player in Bundesliga history to net 11 goals within the opening six weeks of a campaign. Nevertheless, Kane concluded the 3–0 victory prematurely, limping off with five minutes of regulation time left.
Doubts were instantly raised regarding Kane's availability for England's forthcoming matches against Wales and Latvia. The Three Lions skipper quickly dismissed those worries.
"I'll be recuperating for now. I sustained a minor knock. After a few days, everything should be back to normal. There shouldn't be any issue for international duty. I'll be present on Monday," Kane confirmed following the final whistle.
The matter Bayern Munich supporters will be more concerned with is whether Kane will feature in the Bundesliga next campaign or not.
