Bayern Munich Boss Drops Bombshell on Harry Kane's Future Amid Man Utd and Tottenham Rumors

Bayern Munich's sporting director, Max Eberl, displayed a remarkably relaxed attitude regarding the transfer rumors swirling around Harry Kane, stating that the choice ultimately rests with the striker.

Kane's future has become shrouded in doubt following reports of a release clause within the forward's contract. German media sources indicate that the prolific England skipper could be secured for €65 million (£56.8 million, $76.4 million) this coming summer should he express his intention to depart.

This development has triggered numerous connections to a potential Premier League comeback. Manchester United have consistently been linked with a pursuit of the influential striker, while Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank openly confessed that he "would like to see Kane back" in north London.

Hardly anyone would reject a striker with Kane's goal-scoring pedigree, yet Eberl provided little comfort that Bayern could retain a player who remains under contract for another two years.

"He's mature enough to decide for himself," Eberl commented about the 32-year-old, "whether there's a clause or not, whatever—if he declares he wants to make a choice, then he'll do it, as he demonstrated at Tottenham."

Nevertheless, the transfer architect did outline Bayern's desired scenario: "Our hope is, naturally, to achieve tremendous success with Harry this season and beyond!"

Head coach Vincent Kompany surprisingly echoed similar sentiments about his squad's consistent leading scorer. "He's experiencing an excellent period currently," the Belgian manager, who encountered Kane five times as a player, praised. "And the last thing I wish to do is create another debate.

"The one aspect I consistently observe is that he maintains that desire to capture trophies. And he can accomplish that at Bayern. That's our sole concentration."

The excitement surrounding Kane has intensified due to his remarkable beginning to the current campaign. Bayern's number 9 has accumulated 13 goals across seven matches for the German club, featuring eight strikes in four league appearances. Kane stands merely two goals away from reaching a century for Bayern Munich and has an opportunity to create history against Werder Bremen on Friday evening.

Should the unstoppable scorer secure a double in his upcoming Bayern match, he would have collected 100 goals in merely 104 appearances for the club. No other player in the annals of Europe's premier five leagues has ever achieved triple figures in fewer matches for a single team.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland share the current record of 100 goals in 105 matches for Real Madrid and Manchester City respectively.

However, despite his scoring surge, attention in Bavaria has centered on Kane's ability to function as a provider alongside his finishing prowess. "At his stage of career, he's making tremendous strides on the field," Eberl enthused.

"We all recognized him from Tottenham for his scoring abilities, but the manner he's performing football currently in this squad, setting the example on the pitch, giving everything for the team, demonstrates: He simply desires to claim titles! That's his drive, he can achieve it with us, we aim to accomplish it alongside him."
