Bayern Munich Ready to Launch Fresh Assault for Luis Diaz as Napoli Reach Final Verdict on Darwin Nunez

Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing an enhanced bid for Liverpool's Colombian winger Luis Díaz, following the rejection of their first proposal by the Merseyside club, according to recent reports.
The 28-year-old attacker, who has two seasons remaining on his Anfield deal and is currently performing at his career best, has repeatedly indicated his openness to exploring different opportunities.
The Bavarian giants have had their €67.5 million (£58.6 million, $78.8 million) proposal declined recently, as Liverpool are demanding €100 million (£86.8 million, $116.7 million) to sanction the Colombian's departure.
However, the Bundesliga titleholders remain determined and The Times suggests they are preparing a fresh approach. Bayern had initially been hesitant to exceed €60 million (£52 million, $69.7 million) in guaranteed payments, though their first submission surpassed this threshold.
Whether Liverpool's steep asking price represents a bargaining strategy or a deterrent figure to ward off potential buyers remains uncertain.
The Times further indicates that Bayern feel "optimistic" about Díaz's willingness to move to Munich should an agreement be struck with Liverpool, though no verbal understanding has been established.
Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sport Germany reports that Bayern would present Díaz with a minimum four-year contract, with positive communication occurring between the player's representatives and Bayern sporting director Max Eberl. While no deal exists, personal terms are anticipated to be "straightforward".

One transfer that has been definitively ruled out is Darwin Núñez's move to Napoli. Fabrizio Romano reports that the Italian champions have notified Liverpool they won't continue negotiations, deeming the asking price excessive, and will instead pursue Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese.
Núñez may still depart Anfield this summer, however, with Saudi Arabian clubs reportedly interested in his services.
Liverpool have already broken their transfer spending record this window, but Tuesday saw reports of interest in Newcastle United's Alexander Isak. While no official bid was submitted, Liverpool indicated readiness to pursue a £120 million ($161.4 million) transaction. Newcastle's firm stance that Isak is unavailable may lead Liverpool to compete with the Magpies for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitiké.
