Bellingham Delivers Inspiring Three-Word Message to Real Madrid Faithful Following Surgery

Jude Bellingham concluded his initial message following surgery for a persistent shoulder problem with a three-word hint that Real Madrid fans can hold onto: "See you soon."

Exactly how soon that will be is uncertain. Early reports indicate that Bellingham might be out for up to 12 weeks, which could keep him away from eight La Liga fixtures and the opening two matches of the Champions League's league stage.

The season's first Clásico in the 2025–26 La Liga season on Oct. 26 might serve as a notable comeback opportunity for Bellingham.

Before considering his return, Bellingham expressed his appreciation to the medical experts who handled his shoulder operation this week.

"Thank you to Andrew Wallace & Susan Alexander, their team and everyone at Fortius Clinic for the surgery and hospitality," the Real Madrid talent posted on social media. "To Ivan Ortega and Dr Leyes for travelling to support. And finally, to everyone else for all the well wishes and messages of love.

"The process to come back has already started, see you soon."

Bellingham initially injured his shoulder in November 2023. The England player has consistently competed with heavy protective wrapping around his arm to prevent the lengthy rehabilitation that follows surgical intervention. There wasn't an opportunity for the operation last summer as he assisted England in reaching the European Championship final, but his endurance has finally worn thin.

"I've reached the point where the pain isn't so bad, but I was sick of playing with the sling," Bellingham admitted earlier this summer. "I'm losing a lot of weight from sweating so much, and I've decided that I'll have surgery after the tournament."

Xabi Alonso utilized the dynamic 22-year-old in all six of Real Madrid's Club World Cup matches, maximizing his distinctive abilities before his prolonged absence. During Bellingham's recovery, the Spanish manager might rely on promising summer addition Franco Mastantuono, Turkish midfielder Arda Güler or implement a completely different tactical approach.
