Benjamin Sesko's Man Utd Move Creates Clear Winners and Devastating Losers

Manchester United were expected to acquire multiple strikers during the summer transfer window but have ultimately secured their new number nine.
After seeing targets Viktor Gyökeres and Hugo Ekitiké move to competitors Arsenal and Liverpool respectively, the Red Devils pivoted to Benjamin Šeško to address the significant scoring shortage in Ruben Amorim's roster.
Šeško's move to Old Trafford has been officially announced and fans are thrilled with excitement after securing one of Europe's most promising forwards, though not everyone at Old Trafford will welcome Šeško's addition.
Here are those who benefit and those who don't from Šeško's signing.
Beneficiary: Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes urged Man Utd to acquire additional players following their recent 2–2 preseason friendly tie with Everton, and he will be thrilled by Šeško's move to Old Trafford. The Portuguese midfielder is undoubtedly the club's primary creative outlet but has frequently been left disappointed by his teammates' inefficiency in front of goal.
Just four players recorded a superior expected assists figure than Fernandes in the Premier League last campaign—including his new colleague Bryan Mbeumo—and no one generated more scoring opportunities than Man Utd's captain in the league. He remained, yet again, the bright spot during a frustrating season for the Red Devils.
After watching Man Utd's attackers waste opportunity after opportunity last season, Fernandes will be enthusiastic about the club's signing of a lethal striker who can convert the chances he provides. The Slovenia forward netted 21 goals last campaign for Leipzig, exceeding Højlund and Zirkzee's combined tally of 17.
Those at a disadvantage: Joshua Zirkzee, Rasmus Højlund

The wastefulness of the previously mentioned Højlund and Zirkzee represented one of the primary sources of frustration for Man Utd fans last season. They scored a combined seven goals in the Premier League and contributed little both with and without the ball, with the club's urgency to acquire a new striker stemming from their forwards' lack of effectiveness.
Šeško will anticipate becoming an immediate regular in the Man Utd starting eleven and since Amorim employs just one central striker, Højlund and Zirkzee will find themselves on the substitutes' bench. With the Red Devils also failing to secure European competition of any kind last season, the Danish and Dutch players' playing time will be significantly limited.
Beneficiaries: Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha

Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have been Man Utd's marquee summer acquisitions thus far, with both contributing to the enhancement of the club's modest attacking options. The pair are anticipated to occupy the two attacking midfielder positions in Amorim's 3-4-2-1 system, operating behind a single center forward.
While the playmaking abilities of Man Utd's new additions could potentially boost Højlund and Zirkzee's productivity, the duo will be more enthusiastic about the prospect of partnering with Šeško. The 6'5 striker is an imposing figure and swift runner capable of occupying center backs, creating ample room for Mbeumo and Cunha to flourish.
There were also conversations regarding whether either player might be deployed as Man Utd's striker next season given the difficulties of the club's existing forwards, but Šeško's arrival will enable the new signings to perform in their natural positions instead.
At a disadvantage: Alexander Isak

Man Utd have succeeded in outmaneuvering Newcastle United for Šeško despite the Magpies having a bid approved for the Leipzig striker, and the transaction will create a substantial ripple effect in the striker transfer market.
Šeško was being considered as a possible successor to Alexander Isak should the unsettled Newcastle striker secure a transfer to Liverpool this summer, but Man Utd's interception of the deal makes it even less probable that the Swedish international will end up at Anfield before the transfer deadline.
Whether Isak will now resign himself to his situation and be welcomed back into Eddie Howe's squad remains uncertain, but time is running short for any potential departure from St. James' Park.
