Bruno Guimaraes Breaks Silence on Alexander Isak's Shocking Transfer Ultimatum

Newcastle United skipper Bruno Guimarães has revealed that Alexander Isak has been disturbed by the continuing speculation about his future with the team.
Isak is believed to have rejected a contract extension offer from Newcastle and has remained absent from the pre-season touring party after indicating his desire to depart the club during the summer window. The Magpies maintain his non-participation stems from a thigh problem.
Liverpool are understood to maintain their pursuit despite acquiring Hugo Ekitiké, while Saudi club Al Hilal are also pursuing the striker's services.
Upon the Newcastle team's arrival in Singapore, Mail Sport questioned Guimarães about Isak's situation, and the Brazilian midfielder acknowledged uncertainty regarding his colleague's prospects.
"I share a close bond with [Isak]," the midfielder explained. "He's a quality person. He's experiencing some difficult circumstances at present.
"My concentration remains with the team. Isak's situation is beyond my influence. The club manages these matters. I'm hopeful he'll be available when we return to Newcastle for new season preparations. We were informed he stayed in Newcastle due to his injury. Naturally, he's an exceptional talent for us and his absence will be felt during this tour. We require him match-ready at the earliest opportunity."

Centre-back Dan Burn supported this position, emphasizing that Isak's destiny remains beyond the squad's influence.
"Look, everyone has the right to their perspective," the tall defender stated. "However, I believe we must focus on what's within our control. That's something Alex must address personally.
"He's clearly an important asset for us, but we possess considerable talent throughout the roster. Adding Anthony [Elanga] was also an excellent acquisition.
"Alex hasn't participated in training due to a thigh complaint that's persisted since his return during those initial days."
Newcastle continues their efforts not just to retain Isak, but to secure him with fresh terms, though the forward's reported salary expectations of £300,000 ($406,000) weekly have thus far remained financially unworkable.
