Borussia Dortmund's central midfielder Felix Nmecha has dashed the hopes of several Premier League sides who were eyeing a possible summer move by committing to a fresh contract with the German club.
Nmecha was approaching the final two years of his existing agreement, a period when teams often consider selling valuable players—Dortmund typically loses top performers, such as Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham in previous seasons.
However, the 25-year-old has committed his career to Dortmund through a new deal that extends his stay by two additional years until summer 2030.
Transfer rumors connecting him to Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have circulated in recent months, but Nmecha will remain with his current club for the foreseeable future.

Nmecha's characteristics and playing approach appeared to match the requirements that Manchester United specifically seeks in their midfield for the upcoming campaign. The Red Devils, despite having a talented No. 10 in Bruno Fernandes and an outstanding deep playmaker in Kobbie Mainoo, are missing a traditional box-to-box workhorse.
Manchester City are anticipated to pursue a midfielder, with Bernardo Silva potentially departing and Rodri's situation also becoming questionable given the appeal of returning to Madrid.
Both Manchester teams have similar scouting lists regarding other midfield possibilities, with each club reportedly showing significant interest in Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson.
