Chelsea midfielder Moisés Caicedo was quick to shut down any rumors connecting him to a potential move to Real Madrid.
Speculation surrounding Madrid's pursuit of Caicedo has been circulating for some time, though more recently it has been his midfield partner Enzo Fernández who has stolen the transfer spotlight following reported interest from Los Blancos.
Fernández, thought to be unsettled in the wake of manager Enzo Maresca's departure, has given conflicting signals regarding Madrid's interest, reaffirming his dedication to Chelsea while stopping short of ruling out a summer move.
Caicedo, by contrast, left absolutely no ambiguity in his response.
"I'm focused on my club right now," he stated (via El Chiringuito) when questioned about a potential switch to Madrid.
"I have a contract with my club, and I want to perform well. I want to become a legend there, God willing. And that's all I have to say for now."
Caicedo's Words Welcome During Period of Uncertainty

The mood surrounding Chelsea has been decidedly gloomy over recent months. Maresca's exit sparked protests against the club's ownership that continue to this day, while a dismal string of results and an embarrassing Champions League campaign have only deepened the sense of negativity.
Compounding matters has been the ongoing uncertainty over Fernández's future — not fueled by the player himself, but not put to rest by the Argentine international either.
Even the positive news of Reece James signing a contract extension was quickly overshadowed by a serious injury to the right back, leaving Chelsea supporters with precious little to feel good about at present.
In that context, Caicedo's decision to follow James in publicly declaring his commitment to Chelsea represents a significant morale boost.
The Ecuadorian's arrival in the summer of 2023 already suggested a deep affection for the club, and Chelsea fans have always had a soft spot for players who place the Blues above all other options.
"This was the one and only club I wanted to play for," James said after putting pen to paper on his extension. "I've won major trophies here. Why would I not extend? This is my home, my family is here."
Caicedo has no need to sign fresh terms to demonstrate his loyalty — he remains contracted until 2031 — but he has seized the moment to remind even the most frustrated Chelsea supporters that there are still players in this squad worth getting behind.
