Moisés Caicedo reaffirmed his loyalty to Chelsea when pressed directly about a possible future at Real Madrid — though not before offering a playful "We'll see what happens."
The Ecuadorian, widely considered among the elite at his position, had previously been connected to a high-profile move to the Bernabéu, alongside teammate Enzo Fernández and Manchester City's Rodri on Los Blancos' midfield wishlist.
When questioned about Real Madrid's reported interest during the international break, Caicedo stressed that his "focus" was firmly on his club, where he dreams of one day becoming "a legend." Yet just a week later, the 24-year-old softened his stance slightly on the idea of trading his blue jersey for a white one.
"You never know in football, don't you think?" he told AS. "I have a contract with Chelsea right now. Honestly, I haven't really thought about another club or leaving London, but in the end, you never know in football.
"All I want is to enjoy myself. I have a contract and I want to keep playing for as long as God allows. After that, we'll see what happens. I have a contract, but we'll see what the future holds. Let's see what surprises are in store."
Fernández the Better Fit for Real Madrid's Needs

In the past, Caicedo's open-ended answer would have been welcome news for Real Madrid, but the club is currently far more absorbed in a pursuit of his midfield partner, Fernández.
The Argentine used his international break to openly flirt with Los Blancos, voicing his wish to live in Madrid despite being contracted to Chelsea until 2032 — just one year after Caicedo's own deal at Stamford Bridge runs out. Chelsea responded poorly to his remarks, handing Fernández a two-match ban after manager Liam Rosenior declared that "a line was crossed."
The suspension could drive the World Cup winner closer to the 15-time European champions, who are eager to land a marquee midfielder this summer. Rodri and Caicedo stand out for their defensive qualities, but Fernández brings the passing range, creativity and, crucially, the ability to control the tempo of a match.
Real Madrid are hungry for all three qualities, particularly given that Aurélien Tchouaméni is already well-equipped to fill the disruptive midfield role.
Caicedo Hoping to Help Chelsea Finish on a High

It has been a season to forget for Chelsea. Between the surprising departure of former manager Enzo Maresca, a string of injuries, an embarrassing Champions League elimination at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain and a disappointing Premier League run, the Blues have had precious little to cheer about.
Adding to the frustration is the fact that two of their biggest names are constantly being linked with exits from west London. Still, Caicedo made clear he is determined to help restore Chelsea's winning ways.
"Yes, Chelsea is a fantastic club," he said. "They've supported me greatly since I arrived. I want to pay them back, to show it on the pitch in every game, for as long as I'm here. Time will tell."
Chelsea advanced comfortably into the FA Cup semifinals with a commanding 7–0 victory over League One outfit Port Vale, keeping their trophy hopes alive. They currently occupy sixth place in the Premier League table, however, outside of the Champions League spots.
A strong finish to the campaign could see the Club World Cup holders pip Liverpool to fifth, but with fixtures still to come against Man City, Manchester United and the Reds, among others, it will be a tough road ahead for Rosenior's side.
