Carabao Cup Third Round Draw Unveiled: Complete Fixture Lineup for 2025-26 Season
The Carabao Cup third round draw has taken place as the remaining Premier League clubs join the tournament.
Teams like Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brentford, Burnley, Fulham, Brighton and Everton all progressed after competing in the previous round, although several English top-flight clubs have already been knocked out. Leeds United suffered a surprise defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, West Ham United lost against Wolves, Sunderland fell to Huddersfield and Bournemouth were beaten by the Bees.
Manchester United featured in the final second round match with the Red Devils stunned by League Two side Grimsby Town. United found themselves two goals down at the break, but Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire managed to equalize late on to send the tie to a penalty shootout. In what seemed like an endless shootout, Mbeumo's miss on the 26th penalty allowed Grimsby to progress.
Attention now shifts to teams like Newcastle United, the defending champions, Liverpool, Manchester City and others entering the competition. Championship favorites Wrexham remain in contention as well.
