Cavan Sullivan Storms Into MLS Top 10 Best-Selling Individual Jerseys

Cavan Sullivan Storms Into MLS Top 10 Best-Selling Individual Jerseys

Major League Soccer has unveiled its list of the 10 top-selling individual jerseys of the 2026 season, and it's fair to say there are more than a few unexpected names on it.

Notable soccer icons such as Hugo Lloris, Marco Reus, and Casemiro failed to make the cut, along with some of MLS's standout performers like Evander, Carles Gil, and Petar Musa. And despite representing close to half of the league's roster spots, just one American player cracked the top 10.

Here are the best-selling MLS jerseys of 2026.

10. Rodrigo De Paul

Rodrigo De Paul

Rodrigo De Paul arrived at Inter Miami partway through the 2025 season and played a key role in delivering the club's first-ever MLS Cup. With the Herons currently sitting second in the Eastern Conference and third overall, the 32-year-old midfielder figures to be a crucial piece of their championship defense this postseason.

9. Hany Mukhtar

Hany Mukhtar

As Nashville SC's captain, all-time leading scorer with 111 goals, and the club's Iron Man, Hany Mukhtar has cemented his status as a Music City sports icon. He has already guided the team to their first two major honors—the 2025 U.S. Open Cup and the 2026 Supporters' Shield—and could help Nashville claim sole ownership of the best regular season record in MLS history with a result against Cincinnati.

8. Luis Suárez

Luis Suárez

Only two players from last year's top 10 have retained their spots, both hailing from Inter Miami. After finishing second in both 2024 and 2025, Luis Suárez has slipped to eighth place in 2026. Yet at 39 years of age, he continues to make a significant impact, tallying 16 goals and 12 assists across 29 MLS appearances this season.

7. Denis Bouanga

Dénis Bouanga

Denis Bouanga has had a remarkable run at LAFC, accumulating 126 goals and 48 assists across 193 appearances for the Black and Gold. He has already claimed the Golden Boot (2023) and helped lead the club to an MLS Cup (2022), Supporters' Shield (2022), and U.S. Open Cup (2024). At just 31, he has plenty of time to surpass Carlos Vela as the greatest player in the club's history.

6. Cavan Sullivan

Cavan Sullivan

While Bouanga climbed from 13th to 8th in jersey sales, Cavan Sullivan has made an even bigger leap—from 18th to 6th—following a breakout year at Philadelphia Union. Two years after signing the most lucrative homegrown contract in MLS history, which includes a move to Manchester City upon turning 18, Sullivan has made his mark for both club and country, becoming a central figure in Philly's 2026 resurgence and the youngest scorer in USMNT history.

5. Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann brought his storied La Liga career to a close this summer and signed with Orlando City, where he has almost single-handedly propelled them into playoff contention. As the most high-profile Orlando athlete since former Ballon d'Or winner Kaká, the French star has wasted no time living up to expectations, contributing 14 goals and eight assists in just 17 MLS appearances.

4. Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski

Joining Suárez and Griezmann as another former Barcelona striker to test himself in MLS is Robert Lewandowski. After etching his name into the history books at Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona, the Polish forward is rapidly winning over Chicago Fire supporters. He has registered seven goals and five assists in 18 league outings, helping steer the club toward the top of the Eastern Conference.

3. Thomas Müller

Thomas Müller

Not long ago, Lewandowski and Thomas Müller were dismantling Bundesliga defenses together, and now both find themselves on serious MLS Cup contenders. Müller revitalized Vancouver Whitecaps after arriving in the summer of 2025, guiding them to their first-ever MLS Cup final appearance and their maiden Western Conference regular season title, contributing 19 goals and 11 assists across 47 appearances.

2. Son Heung-min

Son Heung-Min

After steering Tottenham Hotspur to their first piece of silverware in 17 years with the 2024–25 UEFA Europa League, Son Heung-min departed as one of the club's all-time greats. He joined LAFC in the summer of 2025 and has swiftly established himself as a game-changer, posting 21 goals and 25 assists in 54 appearances.

1. Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi

Unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi has topped the list for the fourth consecutive season. He has long made his case as the greatest soccer player in history, and a compelling argument can be made that he is already the finest player MLS has ever seen. Even at 39, Messi continues to operate on a level entirely his own, and it appears all but inevitable that he will claim his third consecutive MLS MVP award this year.
