Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Dino Toppmöller has openly expressed his ambition to manage Manchester United in the future.
Questions surrounding Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim's position continue to swirl following a tense 2–1 victory against Chelsea, which merely lifted United to 11th place after yet another underwhelming campaign start.
While Amorim maintains his public dedication to United, and Old Trafford leadership appears to support him currently, various potential successors have been discussed in media circles.
Though Toppmöller hasn't featured prominently in such discussions, the Frankfurt manager, who guided his side to their inaugural Champions League campaign this season, has revealed his enthusiasm for potentially coaching United.
"Looking at opportunities overseas, I frequently played video games as a youngster, consistently choosing one club: Manchester United," he shared with Phrasenmäher. "That would certainly be wonderful eventually, as it represents an exceptional institution.
"During my youth, Manchester United stood alongside Real Madrid as one of football's most prestigious clubs."

Among those recently connected to United is Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, who interestingly was succeeded by Toppmöller when he departed Deutsche Bank Park for Selhurst Park in February 2024.
Glasner has impressed in England, recently guiding Palace to FA Cup and Community Shield triumphs, though he faced exit speculation during the summer following disagreements with transfer decision-makers.
Per Sky Sports News, those concerns have been resolved and Glasner is now focusing on Palace's future, engaging in discussions about the club's medium and long-term objectives while awaiting contract talks, as his current deal expires at season's end.
