Chelsea and Man Utd Circle as Donnarumma's PSG Frustration Sparks Transfer Frenzy

Gianluigi Donnarumma is reportedly dissatisfied with Paris Saint-Germain's choice to acquire a new goalkeeper during the summer transfer window while his contract future remains uncertain.
Donnarumma, recognized globally as among the elite goalkeepers, has just 12 months remaining on his current deal, but despite both parties previously expressing interest in extending the agreement earlier this year, negotiations have remained unsuccessful.
PSG have attempted to persuade Donnarumma to accept their revised salary framework—he remains the sole player still receiving the substantial contracts distributed under former leadership—however discussions have reached an impasse and the Champions League victors have readily explored alternative options.
Lille's Lucas Chevalier is anticipated to finalize his transfer to PSG for approximately €40 million ($46.1 million) within the upcoming weeks, and the Ligue 1 title holders have addressed this matter with Donnarumma who, based on reports from RMC Sport, expressed his displeasure.

Due to their interest in securing Chevalier, PSG are willing to part ways with Donnarumma this summer, creating opportunities for both Chelsea and Manchester United.
Currently, Donnarumma has not made a final decision regarding his future destination. He has expressed publicly his preference to continue with PSG, but the forthcoming acquisition of Chevalier has created uncertainty about his position in the French capital.
It is emphasized that PSG will not completely rule out Donnarumma, whose contributions to last season's European success are highly valued, but the 26-year-old would not be assured of regular starting opportunities should he decide to remain.
A departure from Paris might require Donnarumma to reduce his salary expectations. Chelsea follows a comparable performance-based compensation approach similar to PSG's current model, while United are reportedly seeking to reduce their financial commitments.
