Chelsea Dramatically Cuts Price Tag for Star Forward as Premier League and Bundesliga Clubs Circle

Chelsea are now prepared to accept a financial loss on unsettled striker Christopher Nkunku following months of demanding a higher transfer fee throughout the summer window.
Expectations were elevated when Nkunku arrived at Chelsea from RB Leipzig for £52 million ($70.1 million) during summer 2023, however a severe pre-season injury hindered his ability to establish consistent form.
During the recent season, Nkunku was unable to overtake Nicolas Jackson as Chelsea's first-choice striker, generating transfer speculation in January. Both Bayern Munich and Manchester United showed strong interest but withdrew due to the £65 million ($87.6 million) valuation.
However, according to The Athletic, Chelsea will now consider bids of £43.3 million ($58.3 million) for Nkunku, who continues to attract attention from European clubs.

Manchester United reportedly maintain their interest, while Bayern Munich also remain keen on a player who recorded 36 goals and 21 assists during his final two seasons in the Bundesliga with Leipzig.
Chelsea are willing to sell as they look to create room for another attacking addition. João Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens have all been acquired this summer, with promising talent Estêvão also arriving from Palmeiras, though Blues management are pursuing at least one additional signing.
Xavi Simons, who took Nkunku's place at Leipzig in 2023, has become the primary target but player sales are necessary to generate the required transfer funds.
João Félix is also being prepared for a permanent departure. Interest exists from Portugal, with reports suggesting former club Benfica as potential buyers, alongside the Saudi Pro League. An identical asking price of £43.3 million has been established for Félix.
