Chelsea Makes History as First Club to Conquer Unprecedented International Trophy Challenge

Chelsea delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain to claim the inaugural title of FIFA's revamped Club World Cup format.
The London side overcame pre-match expectations and thoroughly outplayed the French champions. This triumph marked Chelsea's second silverware of the campaign while also establishing an unprecedented milestone in global club football: becoming the first European club to capture every available international tournament.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that Chelsea accomplished this historic feat within just six years. From 2019 onwards, the Blues have secured the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and both versions of the Club World Cup.
Chelsea's journey began with their triumph over Arsenal in the 2018-19 Europa League final. They subsequently overcame Manchester City in the 2020-21 Champions League final before claiming the 2021 Club World Cup with a 2-1 victory against Palmeiras. Just two months prior, Chelsea overwhelmed Real Betis 4-1 in the Conference League final, becoming the inaugural club to win all three European tournaments.
With this victory in the maiden 32-team Club World Cup format, Chelsea has now completed their collection of international club honors by becoming the first champions of FIFA's new summer competition.
Throughout the last decade and a half, Chelsea has established themselves as masters of international finals. The Blues have claimed victory in seven out of eight international finals since 2012 and stand as the sole English club to have won the Club World Cup on two occasions.
This represents a remarkable achievement for the Blues. Following their struggles to regain their status during the early Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital ownership period, capturing the Club World Cup demonstrates the resurgence of one of football's most successful clubs since the turn of the millennium.
