Chelsea Set Sights on Serie A Sensation as Transfer Interest Intensifies

Chelsea pursued Juventus forward Kenan Yıldız throughout the summer transfer period, and despite the deal falling through, the Blues are said to be continuously monitoring the promising talent.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea maintain strong interest in Yıldız. The 20-year-old has delivered exceptional performances for Juventus this campaign and is developing into one of football's most sought-after prospects.

The Turkey national team player has registered six goal contributions this term, with four occurring in high-profile encounters against Inter Milan in Serie A and versus Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Chelsea's recruitment approach under BlueCo ownership has centered around securing promising young players with upside from across the globe. Arsenal are also rumored to have interest in Yıldız. Nevertheless, there's one crucial element that might render his Premier League transfer impractical.

Juventus Are 'Optimistic' About Kenan Yildiz Contract Renewal

"I can confirm that Juventus, the leadership, are confident about ultimately securing an agreement [to extend Yıldız's contract]," Romano stated, via CaughtOffside.

Despite Yıldız penning his existing deal with the Old Lady at the beginning of 2024–25 running until 2029, Juventus are keen to negotiate a fresh extension. Through enhanced conditions, the Italian powerhouse aims to prevent Yıldız from being swayed by prospective bids from elite European clubs.

"Had Yıldız desired a move to the Premier League, I guarantee he could have made that transition at the beginning of the window," Romano continued.

"Chelsea have consistently shown significant interest, and the Premier League's attraction persists because Yıldız is an outstanding talent, so it's expected that major clubs are taking notice."

Should Chelsea wish to secure Yıldız for Stamford Bridge, they'll likely need to overwhelm both Juventus and the player with a substantial financial package.
