Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca confirmed that Cole Palmer is healthy and ready for selection ahead of Sunday's crucial showdown with Arsenal in what promises to be a massive encounter between two Premier League title contenders.

This reliance on Palmer remained clearly visible during the early stages of Maresca's tenure before the Italian tactician slowly developed different attacking pathways during his creative midfielder's extended injury spells. Still, having Palmer return provides a significant lift after enduring a season disrupted by various fitness concerns.
The 23-year-old midfielder spent the opening four months of this campaign struggling with a groin injury before subsequently breaking his toe at home in rather amusing circumstances.
Following a lengthy 71-day absence from his previous outing, Maresca disclosed that Palmer might even feature in the starting lineup against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
"Everyone feels delighted," the Chelsea manager expressed enthusiastically, "his teammates feel delighted, we all feel delighted and most importantly Cole feels delighted because any footballer desires to participate in matches and train daily."
Maresca: Palmer Is Our Best Player
Maresca welcomed Palmer's comeback news with the enthusiasm of discovering uncharted territory.

The 18-year-old Brazilian talent decisively overshadowed Barcelona's Lamine Yamal during the midweek fixture and continues working tirelessly to persuade Maresca that he deserves regular starting opportunities. The astute manager understands the dangers associated with overusing young players—evident in the injury problems already affecting Yamal—and won't be lured into jeopardizing Estêvão's future prospects for immediate gains. Nevertheless, he remains receptive to fielding the South American prospect alongside Palmer.
"They can feature together, though it depends on our tactical approach," Maresca cautioned recently. "Certainly they provide excitement. Supporters feel excited. We share that excitement too. We must always maintain equilibrium between both."
