Chelsea's World Champions Badge: How Much Time Do They Have Left?

Chelsea concluded their 2024–25 campaign in magnificent fashion, securing a commanding 3–0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain to claim the inaugural title of the revamped FIFA Club World Cup.
Beyond the satisfaction of capturing Club World Cup honors and being the first squad to hoist the redesigned championship trophy, Chelsea will also display a special world champions emblem on their jerseys for years to come.
The London club will sport the newly revealed emblem for the following four years. This symbol acknowledges their status as global champions of the maiden 32-team Club World Cup tournament.
FIFA chief Gianni Infantino unveiled the emblem's design for the first time leading up to the championship match. The emblem visually represents the Club World Cup insignia and features two color schemes, gold against white and white against gold. However, what will particularly thrill Chelsea is that it also bears the inscription "World Champions" etched into it.
In the past, clubs that captured the annual Club World Cup were permitted to display the champions emblem for twelve months, until a successor was determined. Under the competition's new structure, the tournament will occur every four years, which means Chelsea will maintain their world champion status until another team claims the crown in the 2029 Club World Cup.
Therefore, for the upcoming four years, Chelsea will enter matches wearing an emblem that commemorates their 2025 Club World Cup victory.
