Christian Pulisic Shatters USMNT Record, Surpassing American Soccer Legend

The 2025–26 campaign has begun exceptionally well for USMNT standout Christian Pulisic, who continues to establish himself among Serie A's elite performers.

Pulisic proved decisive in AC Milan's commanding 3–0 triumph over Udinese this past weekend. He netted twice and provided an assist, becoming the first Serie A player to record at least 25 goals and 15 assists across the previous three campaigns.

However, that milestone wasn't the only achievement Pulisic accomplished with his display. Through his double against Udinese, the Pennsylvania-born forward has now reached 59 career goals across Europe's premier five divisions, establishing a new record for any American player.

Prior to facing Udinese, Pulisic was level with USMNT icon Clint Dempsey at 57 goals. The 27-year-old now holds the distinction as the most successful American goalscorer in Europe's top-tier competitions.

Through his double strike, Pulisic has accumulated 26 Serie A goals since arriving at AC Milan. He previously found the net 13 times in the Bundesliga while at Borussia Dortmund and scored 20 Premier League goals during his Chelsea tenure.

Following a challenging period toward the conclusion of his English stint, Pulisic has revitalized his career since arriving in Italy. After a 2024–25 campaign featuring 17 goals and 12 assists across 50 appearances, he has already contributed three goals and one assist through four matches in the new season.

AC Milan endured difficulties last season, placing eighth in Serie A and missing out on European qualification. Currently, Pulisic appears committed to preventing a repeat performance this campaign.

Pulisic is delivering his finest football to date, representing excellent news for the USMNT as the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches rapidly.
