Club World Cup 2025 Reveals Massive Prize Pool: How Much Each Team Will Earn

FIFA chief Gianni Infantino enthusiastically declared this summer's first-ever expanded Club World Cup as a transformative "big bang" moment for football.
Considering the substantial financial rewards available to teams from confederations with limited resources, the competition might create several increasingly unbalanced sporting ecosystems. Auckland City's amateur players, for instance, secured the smallest payout but still went back to their regular occupations as hairdressers, marketing professionals, and student educators with $4.6 million added to their club's treasury. This amount equals what they would earn from capturing the OFC Champions League title 61 consecutive times.
Inter Miami will similarly profit from wealth that numerous MLS Cup final appearances couldn't have generated, collecting $21.1 million despite the rather embarrassing manner of their elimination by Paris Saint-Germain.

The financial rewards aren't quite as transformative for Europe's top clubs, though nobody would dismiss an additional eight-figure windfall. PSG collected approximately $174.5 million for their Champions League victory and have accumulated roughly one-third of that amount by merely reaching the quarterfinal stage.
The tournament champion is positioned to earn over $125.8 million in total.
Teams receive identical compensation for their tournament advancement, including bonuses for group stage victories and draws plus progression through each knockout round. Nevertheless, each confederation receives a different portion of the 'Participation Pillar' funds that have already been distributed.
European teams received between $12.81–38.19 million simply for participating, with precise amounts determined by rankings based on sporting and commercial factors.
South American clubs collected $15.21 million at the tournament's start, while teams from North, Central America & Caribbean, Asia, and Africa all received $9.55 million. Oceania's sole representatives, Auckland City, earned $3.58 million plus the draw bonus they secured from their stalemate against Boca Juniors.
The European teams that have advanced to the quarterfinals predictably lead the earnings table, though Chelsea appears determined to spend every dollar they earn on new player acquisitions.
