Crystal Palace Boss Left in Dark as Arsenal and Tottenham Circle Star Winger Eberechi Eze

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has declined to provide assurances that Eberechi Eze will stay at the club past the current transfer window, as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur continue to show strong interest in the player.

Arsenal are actively seeking to strengthen their wing positions and, following limited advancement in their pursuit of Real Madrid's Rodrygo, have been increasingly linked alongside rivals Spurs in the competition for Eze's signature.

Thomas Frank's team have maintained long-standing interest in Eze and are urgently seeking attacking midfield reinforcements following James Maddison's ACL injury, which is expected to sideline him for most of the 2025–26 season.

When questioned about mounting speculation surrounding Eze, Glasner was asked if the England star would remain a Palace player once the transfer window concludes, but the Eagles manager couldn't provide any guarantees.

"He will feature on Sunday [in the Community Shield], absolutely," was the extent of Glasner's commitment. "Marc Guéhi as well."

What works in Eze's favor is a release clause within his contract that reportedly stands at approximately £67.5 million ($90.7 million). There have been conflicting accounts regarding when this clause expires, with some sources suggesting it has already lapsed while others indicate an August 15 deadline.

Eze's agents have held discussions with both London clubs, though official bids have yet to materialize. Arsenal are believed to be concentrating on player departures currently, while Spurs are strategizing their next approach following Maddison's recent injury setback.

The 27-year-old delivered another outstanding season for Palace last term, contributing 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. His tally of 16 goal contributions in the Premier League represented a career-high achievement.
