David Alaba's Agent Delivers Decisive Verdict on Real Madrid and Saudi Pro League Transfer Rumors

Pini Zahavi, the representative of David Alaba, has refuted speculation connecting his player to the Saudi Pro League, stating there have been "no discussions or proposals presented" for the Real Madrid center-back.
Real Madrid strengthened their defensive line during the summer transfer window following a campaign where they allowed 84 goals in all competitions. The Spanish giants brought in defensive additions including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen and Álvaro Carreras, while also seeing Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão return from their respective injuries.
Antonio Rüdiger and Raúl Asencio remain viable choices for manager Xabi Alonso, which has cast doubt over Alaba's position at the Santiago Bernabéu. The Austrian international's recent injury concerns and declining form have relegated him in Xabi Alonso's hierarchy and placed him firmly in the transfer rumor mill.
Earlier reports suggested multiple Saudi Arabian teams had shown interest in both Alaba and unsettled midfielder Dani Ceballos, however Zahavi dismissed the transfer speculation regarding his player.
"All media reports suggesting Alaba's potential transfer to the Saudi Arabian Pro League are inaccurate. No discussions or proposals have been presented to the player currently," Zahavi informed 365Scores.

"Speculation about the player being willing to consider a Saudi Arabian move is unfounded, given that no formal proposals have been submitted for consideration. All circulating information consists merely of speculation," he continued.
In the absence of genuine interest from Saudi clubs, Alaba appears set to remain in Madrid to complete the remaining year of his agreement with Los Blancos. The 33-year-old defender hasn't been connected to alternative destinations this summer, meaning Real Madrid will continue paying his substantial yearly wages—estimated at approximately €22.5 million ($26.1 million)—for one more season.
When Alaba transferred to Madrid before the 2021–22 campaign, he became a regular starter in Real Madrid's lineup and contributed to the club's Champions League and La Liga triumphs that season. During his initial two seasons wearing the white jersey, the Austrian defender accumulated 85 appearances in all competitions.
The former Bayern Munich player then sustained an ACL injury during the 2023–24 season and has struggled to regain his peak performance level. Alaba only appeared 14 times for Real Madrid in the previous campaign and may see similar limited playing time again considering the club's recent defensive acquisitions.
