Dominic Solanke Delivers Scathing Assessment of Man Utd's 2025-26 Prospects

Tottenham Hotspur forward Dominic Solanke delivered a blunt single-word verdict when questioned about Manchester United's prospects of securing a Premier League top-four position in the upcoming season.

The Red Devils suffered through a disastrous 2024–25 season, slumping to an unprecedented 15th place in the Premier League table, while also failing to qualify for the Champions League and missing out on major trophies after falling to Solanke's Tottenham in the Europa League final.

The atmosphere at Old Trafford has remained dark for an extended period with little indication of improvement on the horizon, as Solanke forecasts continued struggles for Ruben Amorim's squad in 2025–26.

During an interview on DA4P's YouTube platform, the Spurs forward was questioned about his top-four predictions for the next campaign in any order, predictably selecting Tottenham initially, followed by his previous club and reigning Premier League titleholders Liverpool.

He then selected Manchester City as his third pick and, after a moment's hesitation, was questioned whether he believed Man Utd could secure one of next season's Champions League positions. Solanke grinned and simply responded "nah", choosing Arsenal as his alternative.

It's difficult to dispute Solanke's forecast of another campaign outside the top four for Man Utd considering their catastrophic performance last season, though it was audacious for the 27-year-old to suggest Spurs would qualify given their 17th-place Premier League finish last term.

The England striker also excluded one of his previous clubs in Chelsea, where he launched his professional career. Considering the Blues are presently world champions and secured fourth place last season, they're anticipated to clinch Champions League qualification once more next campaign.
