The first of three UEFA finals wrapping up the 2025–26 season gets underway in Istanbul on Wednesday evening, with Aston Villa squaring off against Freiburg.

What's Next for Freiburg, Aston Villa?
Freiburg's current place in the 2026–27 Conference League would be elevated on Wednesday night if they come out on top in Istanbul, as the winning side earns a berth in the Champions League. Aston Villa, however, have already locked up their place in UEFA's top club competition by finishing inside the Premier League's top five.
