Manchester United kick off their preparations for the 2026–27 Premier League season in Helsinki, as Michael Carrick's side face Championship outfit Wrexham on Saturday afternoon.
United have made a habit of heading to Scandinavia during the summer in recent years, with an extensive preseason schedule getting underway in the Finnish capital.
The Red Devils enjoyed a relatively brief campaign last season, claiming third place in the Premier League, but Carrick faces a stiffer challenge next term as Champions League football returns to Old Trafford.
Wrexham, meanwhile, are already on their continental tour. The Red Dragons are travelling through Poland before arriving in Finland, then heading back to North Wales. United are the first of four Premier League opponents they'll face ahead of their season opener — an EFL Cup first-round clash with Middlesbrough on August 7.

Man Utd will round off their Scandinavian tour before squaring off against Leeds United at Dublin's Croke Park and Ruben Amorim's AC Milan in Poland in the lead-up to the Premier League's opening weekend.

Following Saturday's match, the Red Devils travel to Trondheim to face Norwegian club Rosenborg on July 24, then head to Sweden to take on Atlético Madrid the week after. A friendly against back-to-back European champions Paris Saint-Germain has also been scheduled for August 8 in Gothenburg.
The Hollywood-backed Wrexham are set for their third trip to the United States, with friendlies lined up in Tampa, New York and Philadelphia this summer. The Red Dragons will go up against Leeds United, Liverpool and Sunderland across the Atlantic before returning to North Wales ahead of the start of their domestic season.
