How to Watch USMNT World Cup Roster Reveal
While most national teams opted for straightforward social media announcements, the USMNT is treating their World Cup roster reveal as a much bigger occasion.
Pochettino, not typically one for theatrics, will step in front of the cameras at 3 p.m. ET to announce the 26 players set to compete on home turf this summer. The event will be held at Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City and broadcast on Fox. You can also stream Pochettino's USMNT roster announcement via FuboTV.
The broadcast is expected to run for approximately one hour, with most of the selected players anticipated to be in attendance. A number of U.S. soccer icons are also expected to participate in some form.
Those named to the squad will get straight to business, with the USMNT's opening pre-tournament friendly against Senegal set for May 31. They then face Germany on June 6, just six days before their group stage opener against Paraguay.
USMNT Leaked World Cup Roster
Some of the excitement surrounding Monday's roster announcement has been tempered by leaks that emerged on Saturday. Multiple credible sources have since confirmed the leaked information, which revealed all 26 players Pochettino has chosen.
The Argentine was unable to call upon injured players Johnny Cardoso and Patrick Agyemang, but has apparently made the bold call to bring Giovanni Reyna back into the setup.
Lyon's Tanner Tessman has missed out despite Cardoso's unavailability, though there is a place for the dynamic Alex Zendejas, who caught the eye during the USMNT's fall fixtures last year.
