EA FC 25's Top Asian Stars: The Ultimate Player Rankings Revealed

Europe and South America remain the dominant forces in global football, but other continents are beginning to close the gap with these traditional giants.

Asia serves as a prime example of a football-obsessed continent, particularly in the eastern regions, where the quality of players emerging from Japan, South Korea and neighboring countries has reached exceptional levels. Many of their premier talents have become recognizable figures across Europe, in both men's and women's competitions.

Several of Europe's top clubs feature prominent Asian footballers, with Sports Illustrated examining the continent's finest players in EA FC 25.

Top Asian Players in EA FC 25

Unsurprisingly, Son Heung-min leads as the highest-rated Asian player in EA FC 25. The South Korean striker had another brilliant campaign with Tottenham Hotspur during 2023–24, maintaining his impressive 87 overall rating.

Few players can rival Son's statistics, but Yui Hasegawa comes closest. Similar to Son, the midfielder had an outstanding 2023–24 season, nearly securing the Women's Super League championship with Manchester City. She received a rating boost in EA FC 25 and now sits at 84-rated, five points above her club and national teammate Risa Shimizu.

Japan leads the top 20 Asian players list, with Hina Sugita (83), Yuki Nagasato (83) and Jun Endo (80) all playing for clubs in America's National Women's Soccer League. Among male players, Kaoru Mitoma (81), Takefusa Kubo (81) and Daichi Kamada (81) stand as Japan's top-rated stars.

South Korea ranks second in representation within the top 20 after Japan, with Son and Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae (83) being the most sought-after players. Seattle Reign's Ji So-yun (82) and Paris Saint-Germain's Lee Kang-in (79) possess impressive ratings and abilities.

Only three countries appear in the rankings beyond Japan and South Korea. Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi holds an 80 rating, while Saudi Arabian forward Salem Al Dawsari equals Taremi's score. Tottenham Hotspur Women's winger Shuang Wang represents China as their top-rated player.
