Endrick Faces Major Injury Blow as Recovery Timeline Finally Unveiled

Real Madrid striker Endrick has reportedly experienced a setback during his rehabilitation from a hamstring problem, prolonging his extended absence from action.
The young Brazilian sustained the injury during Madrid's second-to-last fixture of the 2024–25 La Liga campaign and has remained in the medical facility since then. He was absent for the entire FIFA Club World Cup this summer, where Los Blancos advanced to the semifinal stage before falling to Paris Saint-Germain.
Endrick has faced challenges adapting to his new environment in Spain but was eager to create a favorable impact with incoming coach Xabi Alonso throughout the pre-season period. Following two months away from competitive play, the 18-year-old was nearing his comeback and had participated in Monday's training session with the main squad.
Nevertheless, The Athletic has now disclosed that Endrick has "experienced a recurrence" of his prior muscular problem, stating he will remain "out of action for several weeks".

Endrick had been connected to a potential departure from Madrid during the summer transfer window, but the player remains determined to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu, though his recent fitness concerns will continue to hinder his progress.
The young forward is already trailing behind Kylian Mbappé in the hierarchy and has now presumably fallen further behind the Club World Cup's emerging talent, Gonzalo García. The 21-year-old forward netted four goals during the competition and delivered multiple outstanding performances.
Madrid are also concerned about the condition of summer acquisition Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was absent from the 4–0 loss to PSG on Wednesday due to a muscular problem in his leg. The England defender requires evaluation to determine the severity of his condition.
Los Blancos now have some valuable rest time following their Club World Cup campaign, with their opening match of the new La Liga season scheduled against Osasuna on Tuesday, August 19. They will be hoping that any fitness concerns are resolved by that time.
