Endrick Takes Decisive Stand on Real Madrid Future as Rising Star Gonzalo Garcia Threatens His Position

Endrick is said to be committed to securing his position in Xabi Alonso's starting lineup, dismissing any possibility of a transfer or loan arrangement before the 2025–26 campaign begins.

Following a disappointing inaugural season at Real Madrid, Endrick's prospects remain uncertain. The 18-year-old arrived in the Spanish capital last summer hoping to make an immediate impact at the world's most prestigious club, but found himself watching from the sidelines more often than participating on the field.

Adding to his troubles, Endrick suffered a hamstring problem at the conclusion of the 2024–25 campaign, preventing him from participating in the FIFA Club World Cup. Alonso opted to give 21-year-old Gonzalo García a chance to shine in the United States, and the Real Madrid Castilla graduate delivered with five goal contributions across six matches.

García's four strikes at the Club World Cup came just three short of Endrick's complete tally from his first season. The Brazilian now faces the prospect of another campaign where he sits at the bottom of his coach's priority list.

Despite these challenging circumstances, AS reports that Endrick has "dismissed" any loan opportunity and intends to remain with Real Madrid for the coming season. Although the young player would presumably receive significantly more minutes at a different club, he remains "optimistic" that he can "reverse his fortunes" under Alonso's guidance.

Endrick's stance may conflict with the club's preferences, however. Real Madrid are said to be considering a loan arrangement for the forward to allow him to develop his skills properly. With Kylian Mbappé and now García positioned above him in Los Blancos' hierarchy, Endrick would again be limited to short substitute appearances.

With fewer than six weeks remaining before the 2025–26 La Liga season kicks off, Real Madrid must decide on Endrick's situation in the near future. Whether the Brazilian remains at the club or spends a year elsewhere, he is unlikely to become a central figure in Alonso's future strategies.
