Endrick's Agent Reveals Bold Promise About Real Madrid Star's Explosive Future Plans

According to Endrick's representative, the Brazilian forward "will return as a Real Madrid player" when the current campaign concludes, regardless of circumstances.

Endrick moved to Olympique Lyonnais on a temporary deal in January, seeking regular playing opportunities after receiving merely 22 minutes across La Liga and Champions League fixtures during the opening half of the 2025–26 season.

The 19-year-old made an impressive start in France, netting a treble against Metz in his second Ligue 1 appearance, alongside two additional strikes in the Coupe de France. However, a dismissal 61 minutes into Saturday's victory over Nantes will disrupt his promising beginning.

Yet irrespective of his on-field displays, Endrick's destiny remains connected to Real Madrid.

"The choice has been finalized for his return to Real Madrid when the season ends; there's no ambiguity or hidden agenda about it," representative Thiago Freitas informed winwin.

"The arrangement is purely a temporary transfer, with no purchase clause, so Endrick will return. I cannot forecast [next season's developments], but I can confirm that when this campaign concludes, Endrick will once again be a Real Madrid player."

Freitas emphasizes: his player did not depart Real Madrid on loan due to any shortcomings on his part.

"Endrick experienced zero difficulties with adjustment. He found the net in his debut Champions League fixture, his inaugural La Liga match, and his first Copa del Rey appearance," the representative recalled.

Competition presented the primary challenge from the beginning, given the presence of talents like Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and Kylian Mbappé competing for comparable roles.

"Upon his arrival, examining the club's attacking options, you'd discover that eight of the world's top 10 players were at Real Madrid," Freitas contended. "It's completely understandable that an 18-year-old would join such a club and receive limited minutes.

"It's crucial to highlight that Endrick didn't begin the second campaign with the [squad], he didn't travel to the United States for the Club World Cup participation, he was sidelined. At an institution like Real Madrid, when you're absent from the team for three or four months, it's entirely normal to struggle returning to action."

With his opportunities unlikely to improve in the season's latter half and, after discussions with both Xabi Alonso—no longer managing—and Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti, it was deemed preferable for Endrick to join a club where he could feature regularly in the months approaching the 2026 World Cup.

Gonzalo García

Excelling for Lyon during the rest of 2025–26 represents just one aspect of the challenge—even that proves complex as the Metz hat-trick remains his sole Ligue 1 scoring performance.

Endrick will never realistically become a consistent starter for Real Madrid while Mbappé remains, given his dominance in goalscoring statistics—the Frenchman's 38 strikes represent 48% of the team's complete tally across all tournaments this season.

The more immediate competition involves Gonzalo García, the substitute striker who has been receiving most of Mbappé's available minutes. Even so, the 21-year-old Spaniard faces his own struggles, starting merely four La Liga matches and averaging just 23 minutes per game across the Spanish championship and Champions League. The tactical setup doesn't really support accommodating two forwards, much less three.

Gonzalo has been connected with his own move in recent months, with Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion mentioned as potential destinations for the 2025 Club World Cup leading scorer.

Should Endrick remain a Real Madrid player next season, even if Gonzalo departs, his circumstances won't be significantly altered. He must decide whether his career benefits more from a move elsewhere, or persevering given that time—turning 20 in July—remains strongly in his favor.
